Surface Mount PCB Assembly (SMT)

CT Production can populate Surface Mount Technology PCBs for you, by hand or machine, from prototype to volume. Our fast and flexible Europlacer SMT machines have quick-change intelligent feeders to handle components from tiny 0201 resistors to large BGAs and fine pitch devices to 70mm square. We populate various PCB types including flexi-rigid and microwave materials.

Our Speedprint SMT printers apply solder paste with high accuracy and repeatability, confirming results with integrated 2d automatic optical inspection (AOI). We use high quality, high reliability BTU VIP98 7+7 zone ovens to reflow the solder paste, together with a Circuitmaster profiler to ensure accurate heating for your PCB assembly. SMT PCBs are subjected to Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) before proceeding to through hole assembly or general assembly.

With accurate printing and profiling, Ball Grid Arrays (BGA) give a high-density reliable connection method. To confirm this, we offer Xray verification if required. Our assembly services are supported by experienced technicians and the necessary equipment for product modification or repairs, including BGA replacement.
