Quality Inspection at CT Production
CT Production delivers high quality product to customers time after time, having invested heavily in personnel and equipment, supported by effective quality assurance and control systems. Registered trainers train and monitor our staff to meet IPC A 610 workmanship standards. Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) of PCB assemblies at CTP is an effective method of non-contact quality assurance. It is used to check component presence, orientation and value on SMT PCB assemblies and for some solder joint quality. AOI is not a full replacement for human inspection, which is carried out in addition as appropriate. Manual Optical Inspection via magnifying scopes is used for all workmanship and build conformance requirements and is particularly effective for checking solder joint quality, which machines are less effective at carrying out. X-Tek Xray and Ersascope inspection methods ensure that BGA and QFN type devices are fitted and soldered correctly, by detecting shorts, opens and many other process or part defects which cannot be seen using other methods with upto 6000 x magnification at various angles.
