Conformal Coating / Encapsulation at CT Production

CT Production provides conformal coating and potting or encapsulation services for products which operate in challenging environments, or which require a security seal. The processes are carried out on-site using a combination of fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual equipment, so that these potentially messy operations are clean and under control.

Conformal Coating:  Quantities from one to many thousand are processed manually or using our PVA automatic conformal coating machine, which is accurate and repeatable and eliminates the need for masking. Our preferred material is Humiseal UV40, which is cured in our microwave UV oven within seconds of application.

Printed Circuit Board assemblies (PCBs) are coated with a humidity protection seal to reduce risk of conductive tracking or corrosion. The coating is used for a number of customers and approved for stringent environments such as aerospace and defence.  See a video of our automatic process here.

Potting / Encapsulation: This on-site service for potting / encapsulation of small to high volumes uses our semi-automatic Robnor equipment. This provides a self-mix and self-metered encapsulation process. PCBs etc are potted in resin or similar material to protect against vibration, shock, liquid or intrinsic safety.  Potting materials may be removable or secure, transparent or opaque.

Examples of products conformal coated or potted at CT Production include Aerospace products, furnace monitoring equipment, gas detectors, door entry systems, high volume leisure products requiring vibration and strain relief and IPR protection.
