Conformal Coating and Encapsulation

CT Production provides a coating service for products which operate in challenging or humid environments, or which require a security seal. The processes are carried out on-site using a combination of manual, semi automatic and fully automatic equipment according to requirement.

Conformal Coating: This is carried out on site in quantities from one to many thousand, thus minimising time and cost and maximising quality control. Printed Circuit Board assemblies (PCBs) are be coated with a humidity protection seal to reduce risk of conductive tracking or corrosion. The coating is used for a number of customers and is approved for stringent environments including aerospace and defence.  See video of automatic process here

Potting and Encapsulation: This is an on site service from small to high volume using our semi-automatic Robnor mix and fill equipment. PCBs or units are encapsulated in resin or similar material to provide protection against vibration, shock, liquid or gas exposure etc as well as offering a security feature. Some types may be transparent or removeable for repair, others may be opaque for higher security.

Examples manufactured at CT Production: Aerospace products, flame monitoring equipment, gas detectors, door entry systems, high volume leisure products requiring vibration and strain relief and IPR protection.
